Performance Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence in this unit must be relevant to and satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria on at least one occasion and include:

adapting to plans during implementation to suit the changing nature of the environment and operation

planning and preparing processes to develop suitable logistics courses of action in an adverse environment

applying relevant legislation and organisational policies and procedures

communicating instructions to implement protection plans and tasks

developing protection plan and relevant control measures

drafting and releasing complex forms of written communication

employing strategies to protect logistics personnel and equipment when stationary and when moving by road

identifying adverse circumstances accurately within the logistics operating environment

identifying, interpreting and analysing risk assessment requirements relevant to work being performed

liaising with other agencies to integrate protection plan

planning and coordinating vehicle road movement

protecting logistics site and road movements.


Knowledge Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence in this unit must be relevant to and satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria and include knowledge of:

adverse circumstances, hazard and protection plan control measures

convoy protection control measures and protocols

escorts for relevant vehicles including:

aircraft

armed helicopters

armed road vehicles

emergency services vehicles

police vehicles

emergency or threatening situations

functional and technical siting requirements of specialist logistics elements

interrelationship between specialist logistics elements within an integrated logistics team

logistics elements including:

catering

health

maintenance

supply

transport

logistics planning processes and support concepts

protective measures in a Defence environment

protective siting requirements of logistics elements

regulatory, technical and industry standards, and organisational policies and procedures as they relate to logistics

risk management control measures for deployed logistics elements.
