Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to coordinate the production, packaging and transportation of products to contracted markets in accordance with enterprise, customer and legal requirements. This unit is relevant to contracts in local, national and international markets. The breadth of this unit makes it particularly useful for small and micro businesses in the retail, meat processing, smallgoods manufacturing and food service areas. In a micro or small business one person would have responsibility for overseeing contract management.All work should be carried out to comply with workplace and regulatory requirements. This unit applies to individuals who take responsibility for their own work and for the quality of others’ work within known parameters. They provide and communicate solutions to a range of predictable and sometimes unpredictable problems.This unit must be delivered and assessed in the context of Australian meat industry standards and regulations.No occupational licensing, legislative or certification requirements are known to apply to this unit at the time of publication. | ||
Duration and Setting | X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting. Competency must be demonstrated in the workplace while coordinating at least one complete contractual process, or coordinating ongoing contracts over a minimum period of three months. A workplace referee report could be used to confirm this. All evidence must be collected in the context of current Australian meat industry standards and regulations. A minimum of three different forms of assessment must be used. Assessors must satisfy current standards for RTOs. |
