Application
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide market reports using accurate assessments of cattle, including weight, breed, fat and muscle score, and dressing percentage.
The unit applies to workers in the livestock industry who operate within enterprise guidelines; for example, stock and station agents, Auctions Plus assessors, abattoirs assessors and livestock buyers, MLA Livestock Market Officers, and buyers.
All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, according to state/territory health and safety regulations, legislation and standards that apply to the workplace.
