a slightly different format than the assessment template. A spreadsheet with unit names, elements and performance criteria in separate columns. Put assessment names in column headings to track which performance criteria each one covers. Good for ensuring that you've covered every one of the performance criteria with your assessment instrument (all assessement tools together).

1.2 Applicable workplace and industry quality standards are ascertained

1.3 Work area to be used for inspection is cleared and cleaned in preparation for the inspection process

1.4 Workplace procedures and instructions are read and interpreted

2 Obtain and prepare tools and equipment

2.1 Measuring and marking equipment, and tools used in the inspection process are obtained and prepared for use

2.2 Toolsand equipment are examined for damage, missing components or other defects (including frayed power cords where applicable)

2.3 Extension power cables are checked for knots and insulation damage

2.4 Electricaltools are connected safely to power supply

2.5 Safety equipment is used during tool operation in accordance with OHS practices

2.6 Inspection tasks are performed using tools and equipment in accordance with OHS practices

2.7 Tools and equipment are cleaned after use and stored in accordance with industry and workplace OHS practices

3 Locate, transport and lay out product

3.1 Completed product is located and safely transferred to the inspection area

3.2 Product is laid out or hung for inspection

3.3 Assistance to handle product is obtained if necessary

4 Inspect product

4.1 Product is inspected to verify that it meets job specifications and relevant workplace and industry quality standards

4.2 Any areas in need of rework or rectification are identified and marked

4.3 Inspected product is labelled or tagged

4.4 Product is folded or otherwise prepared for storage or transport

4.5 Documentation is completed in accordance with workplace procedures

4.6 If rework or rectification is needed, product is set aside for appropriate action to be decided

4.7 Supervisor is informed of any abnormalities indicating a need for maintenance or other action elsewhere in the workplace

4.8 Knowledge of inspecting processes are applied to perform required tasks
