Description | This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to apply an understanding of the composition and function of normal skin in promoting and enhancing skin care in the application of beauty services and advising on home-care products. This unit requires the operator to demonstrate in their practice an understanding of skin biology as it applies to beauty treatments and in the promotion of healthy skin through provision of skin care advice. Knowledge of relevant legislation and workplace policies and procedures, particularly in regard to safety and hygiene, is also required.No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of endorsement. | ||
